The administration of the Canada Badge level certification is the responsibility of Netball Canada. However, in order to be recommended for such level, a candidate shall possess the following criteria:
  • Candidates shall be recommended by the Umpiring Director for testing, to the National Technical Director of Netball Canada, after gaining Advance level certification and upon completion of the required four (4) division one (1) matches, or at any games, sanctioned by the Director of Umpiring.
  • Display the highest professional behavior when officiating, umpiring, testing or acting as course conductor
  • Candidates shall complete one or two match(es) at which they are been trained to be testers at the Provincial level, administered by a member of the Umpiring committee.
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations of the Netball Ontario.
  • Adhere to the IFNA code of rules, protocols, techniques, code of ethics and interpretations.
  • Shall pay the appropriate fee to Netball Canada.
  • Shall show leadership ability during the past calendar year by assisting at two (2) clinics and being the main conductor of one (1) clinic.
  • Shall pass an appropriate beep testing for fitness at Level six (6).
  • Candidates must be seen as a candidate that regularly seeks ways of developing and upgrading their knowledge and experience of the rules of the game.
