2008-2009 has been a year of change, commitment and growth for Netball Ontario. It has been almost one year that I took the helm as President of Netball Ontario. At that time, a new Board was also sworn in. I am honoured and humbled that so many capable individuals have come together in the interest of netball to help revive our association and move us forward in fulfilling our many objectives – to promote the sport province-wide.
I am delighted to report that already we have seen a change in our association with many more members participating, new members ‘finding’ the sport and some former members returning to help in various capacities. I am definitely energized and encouraged by the support from the Board and general membership and the hope that much better days are ahead for netball in Ontario and the rest of the country. I envisage the true team spirit of our sport, not only on the court, but in the administration and organisation – Together Each Achieves More. I would like to acknowledge the contributions and teamwork of the Board and many volunteers whose hard work and countless unpaid hours are invaluable to our success.
